SLC CS 61C Services: Spring 2006
The SLC is offering these services for students in CS 61C:
Problem Sessions
Some CS 61C students feel that they would like to have some extra problems to work, and some feedback on whether they're really understanding the course material. Problem Sessions were created for this type of student.
Each week, a weekly worksheet is available at the Problem Sessions. Students can come and go anytime during the hours that Problem Sessions are happening, but they usually stay a total of 1-1.5 hours.
Students will spend their time working alone or in groups on the weekly worksheet, and can ask questions as they work. More difficult problems will often be discussed at the board.
Problem Sessions are ideal for students that are keeping up with the course and want more practice at working problems.
Sign-up for these problem sessions is required because of their high demand. The official sign-up period continues until 9pm, Thursday, January 26th. In this sign-up process, students will be asked to indicate what times best fit into their schedules. The times for the problem session will then be set so that they accommodate the most students. Times of the sessions are not known in advance because they depend on the students' schedules.

The list of study session assignments will be posted Friday evening, January 27th on this website. Please be sure to check your group assignment during that weekend! Study groups begin Monday, January 30th. After being assigned a study group, students should attend the first few meetings to hold their spaces.

The SLC provides Drop-in tutoring for all students in CS 61C. Students can come in and talk to a tutor on a first-come, first served basis. The tutors work with students individually or sometimes in small groups, and can answer questions about lectures, course texts, homework problems, sample exams and labs.
No prior signing up is required for Drop-in tutoring. Just come by! Drop-in tutoring is a great way to meet and work with fellow students as well as to get assistance with your course work.
