Study Strategies | Become a Peer Mentor
Program Description
The Study Strategies Resources Program provides individual consultations with students and offers courses aimed at helping undergraduates make successful transitions to, and within, UC Berkeley.
We focus on assisting students to develop learning and self-management strategies, access campus resources, and build social networks that will enhance their learning, achievement, and satisfaction. The program is interdisciplinary and adopts a holistic, student-centered approach that emphasizes the importance of creating and participating in learning communities and peer-to-peer collaboration.
The Peer Mentors play an important role by working with individual students and facilitating collaborative learning in the course, Education 98: “Strategies for Success”. Peer mentors’ involvement is focused on making a commitment to the course goals and to the academic and personal success of the students who are enrolled.
