UCFTR | Craft of Facilitating
(Education 97/197, section 12)

Course Description

The Craft of Facilitating provides undergraduates an opportunity to learn and practice course design, lesson planning, and classroom facilitation.

Students in Craft of Facilitating will...

  • engage in the process of course design.
  • learn to write a syllabus and lesson plans.
  • learn different ways to promote student engagement and participation.
  • practice facilitation skills by preparing and piloting lessons.
  • provide and receive honest, supportive, constructive feedback.

The Craft of Facilitating is a semester-long, 2 to 3 unit course for Pass/No Pass Credit. The course counts towards the Ed Minor Field Studies requirement and has no prerequisites.

Day and Time

Craft of Facilitating will be offered on Wednesdays from 3 to 5 pm for the Fall 2008 semester.
