UCFTR | StartUp Workshops

StartUp Workshops

Thinking about designing & facilitating a class for next semester? Wondering how to start a student-facilitated course?

Attend a StartUp Workshop in the Student Learning Center.

We'll address procedural and pedagogical matters such as:

  • Requirements of starting a student-facilitated course
  • Finding a faculty sponsor
  • Completing the course proposal form
  • Writing a syllabus
  • Resources and funding available to you as a facilitator
  • Campus policies and guidelines
  • Reserving a room and obtaining CCNs for your course
  • Publicizing your course and managing enrollment
  • Making your class fun and engaging
