StartUp Workshops

Thinking about designing & facilitating a class for next semester? Wondering how to start a student-facilitated course?

Attend a StartUp Workshop in the Student Learning Center.

Appointments

Though Spring 2008 StartUp Workshops have already ended, individual and group appointments are available throughout the summer.

We'll address procedural and pedagogical matters such as:
  • Requirements of starting a student-facilitated course
  • Finding a faculty sponsor
  • Completing the course proposal form
  • Writing a syllabus
  • Resources and funding available to you as a facilitator
  • Campus policies and guidelines
  • Reserving a room and obtaining CCNs for your course
  • Publicizing your course and managing enrollment
  • Making your class fun and engaging

Spring 2008 StartUp Workshops will be held in Chavez 201C from April 3rd to May 9th. Choose a workshop from the list below to attend.
