Writing Program | R&C Writing Workshop Section Enrollment Instructions

1. Select the section in which you wish to enroll. Be sure both the course and the corresponding workshop will fit in your schedule.

2. Complete the Enrollment Application. Please completely and carefully fill out the information requested. Your e-mail address and phone number must be legible, so that we can follow up with your Tele-Bears enrollment instructions and enrollment codes.

3. Submit your enrollment application either online or in person to Alberto Ledesma, 127 Chávez Student Center or place it in his SLC mailbox. If your requested section is available you will receive Tele-Bears instructions in person or via e-mail.

4. Watch for your Tele-bears enrollment instructions, or pick them up in person when you submit your application, and follow them carefully. Workshop students have spaces reserved in both the class and workshop but must complete their enrollment through Tele-bears.

5. Attend every class and workshop during the first two weeks to keep your spot. Instructors may drop students who do not attend during the first two weeks in order to make room for students on the waitlist.

The first day of classes is Wednesday, August 27, 2008
Workshops begin on Tuesday, September, 2, 2008

Class and workshop locations and instructors will be posted at the SLC Reception counter, outside the SLC Writing Program offices (Chávez 121, 127, & 146), as well as on the SLC website: http://slc.berkeley.edu

Credit for Workshops

The twice-weekly Workshops carry one unit of credit as a 98 course in the corresponding department, earned by meeting all workshop requirements and participating fully in workshop. More than 1 unexcused absence results in a NP for the Workshop.
