Writing Program | Support for All Other Classes

English 45C

A Writing Workshop is available for one section of English 45C each semester. Please click on our Writing Workshops page for more information.

Other Undergraduate Courses

Generally, Drop-In and By-Appointment are the only tutoring formats that the Writing Program makes available for non- 1A or 1B lower or upper division courses. If you are taking any undergraduate course in the Humanities or other disciplinary areas and you need assistance with your writing, you are welcome to use our Drop-In and By-Appointment services.

Graduate Courses

We only serve students in undergraduate courses. If you are a graduate or international student, you should check with your department and Graduate Student Support Services or Services for International Students and Scholars if you need assistance with your writing.

Statements of Purpose, Graduate/Professional School Application Letters

We do not read statements of purpose or other graduate/professional school application materials. For assistance with these documents, check with the Career Planning and Placement Center, located in 2111 Bancroft, (510) 642-1716.
