Happy SF Pride Weekend from the SLC!
While Pride Month encompasses the entire month of June, this weekend marks the peak of celebration right here in the Bay Area. San Francisco Pride remains one of the largest, most historic gatherings of the LGBTQ+ community and allies in the world! It’s also a powerful reminder of how this movement began.
Pride started as a radical act of resistance, led by Black and Brown trans women and queer folks who rose up against violence, oppression, and invisibility. As we celebrate this weekend, we honor that legacy and recognize that the fight for liberation is ongoing.
The SLC is dedicated to creating learning environments that welcome and honor the fullness of every student's identity. We celebrate the brilliance, resilience and joy of queer communities who imagine and build freer futures everyday. We affirm our commitment to ensuring that learners in the LGBTQ+ community feel seen, affirmed, and supported.
