Adjunct Course: Math 98 for Math 32

SLC Math 32 Adjunct Intake/Sign-Up Form

Math 98: Adjunct for Math 32 is a 1-unit course taken in conjunction with Math 32. The course integrates academic content from the Math 1A lecture with study strategies, exam preparation and critical reading techniques in order to improve students' problem-solving, test-taking and study-strategies, and enhance performance in Math 32. Skills gained in the Math 98 course are intentionally transferable and can be successfully applied to subsequent quantitative courses as well.

Students must enroll or be on the waiting list of the lecture that the adjunct course is supporting. To add the adjunct course, attend the first class meeting of the adjunct course, and the instructor will distribute the course control number (CCN). Students can then enroll in the adjunct course through Telebears. Enrollment is limited to 25 students, so students that attend the first session are more likely to get into the adjunct course.

Drop-In

Students can help on their homework assignments on a first-come, first-served basis. Drop-In tutoring is designed for students who need specific help on a given concept or problem set. Tutors assist students by providing a conceptual framework and creating parallel problems to the homework questions that students bring. Typically there are 10 to 15 tutors working per hour, and we work with students individually or in small groups. Drop-In Tutoring is a great way to meet and work with fellow students as well as to get assistance with your coursework.

Drop-In Tutoring starts the 3rd week of instruction and continue until the end of instruction. Students sign up at the Math/Stat Drop-In computer in the Cesar Chavez Atrium by room 103, Our hours are Mon-Thu 10-4.
