Happy July! As we close in on the Academic Senate Student-Facilitated Course (SFC) deadline of July 12, 2022 for Fall 2022 DeCals, we are writing to share some updates about UCFTR’s training schedule!
Training Workshops
Due to the high level of interest in UCFTR training, we have added two more training workshop dates before the July 12, 2022 training deadline!
Attend one of our workshops to complete your mandatory training requirement for first-time facilitators, connect with fellow DeCal instructors, and identify teaching habits that will help you make your DeCal classroom as engaging, interactive, and fun as possible.
The following dates will be the very last of our workshop offerings this summer. Our workshops fill up quickly, so make sure to RSVP and snag a spot today!

As a reminder, the deadline to submit all of your DeCal materials, including your Course Proposal Form, fully developed syllabus, and faculty sponsor letter of support to the Academic Senate is Tuesday, July 12, 2022. Make sure to also submit your materials to your department sponsor, if you have not already.
Make sure to submit your materials via the Fall 2022 Student-Facilitated Course Proposal Submission Portal by next Tuesday!
