What We Do

Harnessing the power of collaborative learning, the SLC Economics Program provides tutorial support for all Cal students taking Economics 1, 2, 100A, 100B, 136, 140 and other equivalents. We serve as a platform for students to learn from one another and succeed together. Our services offer you not only the means to achieve content mastery, but also the opportunity to experience an inclusive, dynamic global learning community. Drop-In Tutoring

Stop by to receive support from our friendly tutors on a first-come, first-serve basis.

How to Sign Up

Drop-in starts third week of classes and continues through the last day of instruction. No prior sign-up is required. Simply come to the Economics area in the atrium of the Chavez Student Center, sign in with your SID, and our tutors will work with you.

Drop-in for Spring 2019 begins on Monday 2/4.

Exam Review

Econ exam reviews are designed in consultation with faculty and/or head GSIs, and are led by advanced tutors. Reviews focus on major course concepts and formulas and cover past exam patterns, as well as time management strategies. 

How to Sign Up

Please check our Facebook page for updates. Exam review RSVP forms are emailed no earlier than a week before exam review dates. If you don't receive any RSVP forms, please contact slc-econ@berkeley.edu

Workshops

Spring 2019 Offerings

STATA Workshop - Date TBA

To further prepare students for research, the SLC Economics Program hosts Stata Workshops to familiarize students with Stata interface, syntax and common statistical procedures like linear regression or graphs essential for writing a research paper.

For those without Citrix or STATA, we have 30 7-day licenses for the workshop distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis.
