Lucheta-Vaterlaus Scholars Program

About

The Lucheta-Vaterlaus Scholars Program (LVSP) is a comprehensive academic research program with a deep commitment to undergraduate scholarship, educational equity, and social transformation. The program is reserved for students of Summer Bridge. The LVSP seeks to cultivate a research identity and engage first-year students in the research process early on in their undergraduate journey. Moreover, the LVSP enables participants to learn the research process. Additionally, Lucheta-Vaterlaus Scholars engage in collaborative research learning, which includes academic coaching and mentorship by learning specialists with subject-matter expertise. Furthermore, LVSP participants become members of a tight-knit, residential community supported by the Student Learning Center’s professional staff.
