The SLC has got you covered! We have EXTENDED our building hours and invite you to swing by the César E. Chávez Student Center to get ahead on homework, tackle a problem set with classmates, or read in-between classes! Our new building hours are Mondays - Thursdays 9 AM - 6 PM AND Fridays 9 AM - 4 PM. Study Groups supporting Math 16A and Stat 20 have launched in the SLC Math/Stat Program! Study Groups are a virtual collaborative space for students to work together on worksheets and discuss material for specific classes in small, inclusive group environments. The SLC Undergraduate Course Facilitator Training & Resources program is seeking enthusiastic highly motivated student leaders who are committed to the vision of Democratic Education at Cal and fellow student facilitators. As a Peer Coordinator, you will provide campus-mandated training for first-time facilitators as well as consultation services for ongoing DeCal facilitators.

We are thrilled to invite you to our first-ever virtual LEP Game Night! Join us to play Codenames–an exciting game that involves crafting and solving creative clues faster than your opponents. No experience with the game required, we'll teach you how to play!

We'll be playing from 6-8PM via Zoom. You can join us for the whole time or pop in for a few rounds!

The SLC will be closed Wednesday, 3/11 until Friday, 3/13 to bolster our infrastructure and train our staff to deliver service virtually. The SLC is seeking a Program Coordinator for the Undergraduate Course Facilitator Training & Resources (UCFTR).

We are thrilled to announce the opening of our application for the Summer 2020 Research Associate Program: Junior Transfer Series!

Hosted through our newly launched Discovery Program, this opportunity provides a group of intellectually curious junior transfer students with eight weeks of full-time support to pursue original research. Accepted scholars will gain membership in a tight-knit learning community with personalized research mentorship and writing coaching.
