We are thrilled to announce the opening of our application for the Summer 2020 Research Associate Program: Junior Transfer Series!

Hosted through our newly launched Discovery Program, this opportunity provides a group of intellectually curious junior transfer students with eight weeks of full-time support to pursue original research. Accepted scholars will gain membership in a tight-knit learning community with personalized research mentorship and writing coaching.

Through this endeavor, the SLC seeks to re-examine the global legacy of American slavery; honor Black ingenuity and resilience; and come together as a community to celebrate our shared humanity.

The Social Science Program is offering final review sessions during RRR week that are open to all students who are enrolled in the following classes:

**Drop-in will also be offered for these classes in the atrium of the Cesar Chavez Student Center (hours on RSVP form below).

The SLC Writing Program invites you to the Fall 2019 Open House, Artistry in Action, this Friday, September 27th from 12:00-1:30pm in the Vèvè Writing Lounge. Come see how we foster artistry in our tutors to activate your writerly imagination and tap into your creativity to meet the writing rigor at Cal.

Happy Moon Festival! The SLC Language Exchange Program is hosting a celebration TODAY from 3-4:30PM on the César  Chávez Student Center balcony! Come explore moon mythology from around the world, learn some moon science trivia, make enchanting moon art, and sample a variety of delicious moon treats!

Welcome, newly arrived Golden Bears! We are excited to offer several study strategies and academic enrichment workshops to welcome you to Cal. They will take place during the first three weeks of semester and can be located our Events calendar here.
