Qualifications, Requirements, and Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- No more than two "Incomplete" grades
- Not on academic probation
- Candidates must have completed Econ 1/2 AND at least ONE of the following courses: 100A, 100B, 136, 140 (or equivalents).
- Candidates specializing in a certain course must have completed that course or an equivalent with a B or higher, or a P for courses taken in Spring 2020, Fall 2020, and Spring 2021.

Responsibilities
- Prepare for and attend weekly in-person training seminar
- Provide individual and/or group tutoring support to peers
- Maintain course knowledge by attending weekly cluster meetings, reviewing course notes and attending lectures as needed
- Assist in the preparation, support, and facilitation of exam reviews, as needed
- Foster an inclusive and welcoming learning environment
- Perform other administrative tasks: event planning/coordination, data entry, outreach, completion of performance evaluation(s), completion of UC Learning Center required trainings, and support to program professional staff, as needed
Program Requirements
- Attend weekly in-person training every Wednesday from 10-11:30AM, starting week 2 of instruction
- Commit to a minimum of 8.5 hours/week
*Note: Students may not be employed by the University more than 50% time during the fall or spring semester in any combination of titles. Students may work up to 100% time during the summer and during the winter break.

- Experience using SLC Economics Program services
Responsibilities
- Foster an inclusive and welcoming learning environment for all learners and visitors in the SLC Economics Drop-in space
- Greet and guide student users through the sign-in process and to respective areas of service and resources
- Support with managing the physical space for Economics Drop-in Tutoring during service hours, including set up and breakdown, attending to service- and tutor-related questions and concerns, assisting in keeping the space accessible and organized, and taking notes of trends and patterns with learners and tutors
- Attend weekly in-person trainings with program professional staff and Ambassador team
- Prepare for weekly trainings
- Perform other administrative tasks: completion of performance evaluation(s), completion of UC Learning Center required trainings, and providing support to program professional staff, as needed
Program Requirements
- Commit to a minimum of 7 hours/week
- Attend weekly in-person training every Thursday from 5-6PM, starting week 2 of instruction
*Note: Students may not be employed by the University more than 50% time during the fall or spring semester in any combination of titles. Students may work up to 100% time during the summer and during the winter break.

Coordinate, finalize, and publish weekly Drop-in Tutoring schedules to ensure effective allocation of service hours

Provide support with program outreach and general communication via email

Provide support with managing the Economics Drop-in Tutoring space during service hours

Prepare for and attend weekly in-person Ambassador Team training seminar
