Become a UCFTR Peer Coordinator

Thank you for your interest in joining the SLC Undergraduate Course Facilitator Training & Resources (UCFTR) Team!

The SLC Undergraduate Course Facilitator Training & Resources (UCFTR) Program provides mandatory pedagogical training and consultation services to student instructors of Student-Facilitated Courses, conventionally known as Democratic Education at Cal or DeCal. Our services equip student facilitators with a theoretical and practical foundation to improve their craft of teaching in both in-person and virtual formats, as well as to support them on their journey of becoming effective, student-centered peer educators. Our ultimate goal is to empower undergraduate students to be agents of their own learning, to cultivate community among one another, and to actively contribute to the process of knowledge production and exchange at Cal.

We are seeking candidates who are driven, passionate about education, and interested in serving the DeCal and larger UC Berkeley community to join our team as a UCFTR Peer Coordinator! As part of our team, you will work closely with professional staff to support the operations and maintenance of the UCFTR program. You will support in providing program services, responding to email inquiries, managing registration to UCFTR direct services, sending follow-up communication and materials to UCFTR workshop attendees, assist in outreach, and have weekly check-in meetings with a professional staff.
